How to edit text in a PDF for free
You don't need paid software to fix a typo, update a date or fill in a missing line in a PDF. Edit PDF lets you click on the text and change it on the page.

- Select your PDF.
- Click the text you want to change and type the new wording.
- To add new text, choose the text tool and click where it should go.
- Click Save and download the edited PDF.
What you can change
PDFs made from Word, Excel or other software contain real text that you can edit. You can also add text, shapes and images, or cover up parts of the page.
Scanned pages are photos, so the words can't be edited as text. Run OCR PDF first, or use Edit PDF to cover the old text and type over it.

If you need to rewrite whole paragraphs, convert the file with PDF to Word, edit it there, and save it back as PDF.

Will the font match?
The editor uses the closest available font. For most documents the difference is hard to see.
Can I edit Arabic text?
