How to convert a PDF to PowerPoint slides

When you only have the PDF of a presentation or quote, converting it to PowerPoint lets you change wording, update figures and present it again without rebuilding every slide.

Steps

  1. Open PDF to PowerPoint on PDFoxen.
  2. Select your PDF.
  3. Click Convert.
  4. Download the .pptx file and open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote.

How the slides are built

Each PDF page becomes one slide at the same shape as the page. Lines, table borders, logos and stamps are kept as the slide background, and the text sits on top in separate boxes you can click and edit.

Scanned pages have no text to edit, so they come across as pictures. Run OCR PDF first if you need to edit them.

After converting

If a replaced font looks wider than the original, select the text boxes and choose a narrower font. To move many items together, select them with a drag and group them.

Common questions

Does it support right-to-left text such as Arabic?

Yes. Arabic and Hebrew text boxes are set to right-to-left.

Can I convert slides back to PDF?

Yes. Use PowerPoint to PDF, or save as PDF from PowerPoint.

Is my file uploaded?
